Jason Schmidt is kind of like Karl Malone.

Que no?

I never liked either of them mainly because they both gave the dodgers and lakers a beatdown whenever the two teams met.

But now that they've signed with the home team, I am happy.

It almost makes sense to make it to Chavez Ravine by the 2nd inning.

(Although I might get sick of hearing jigga man every time Juan Pierre steps up to the plate.)

So we got to groovin on thursday night.

As in getting funky.

You know, bailamos.

And, then I dropped all three of them off.

And she calls me while I'm on the road.

Hello?

I had fun.

Yeah, I did too. When are we hanging out again?

I don't know.

How bout this weekend? How bout saturday?

I don't know. I think she likes you.

Really? I don't like her.

That's not nice.

Well, come over saturday...nobody has to know. I won't say anything.

I won't say anything either.

Cool, I'll make you lunch.

Ok.

---------------------------------------------------

And then homegirl flaked.

I'm assuming it's because of the whole e-coli scare and not the fact that she's only likes me when she's drunk.

yaw yaw yaw yaw yawawaawawa

I've never been a big Busta Rhymes fan, if only because his albums never have this concept that Nick Hornby refers to as "cohesion."

Nevertheless, he always mangages to put out some hot singles.

...and you know we come through to wreck the discotec....

What is the significance of all this bus-a-bus talk, you wonder?

Well, upon listening to KCRW's jazz programming at 2AM Saturday morning, I picked up on the Woo-Hah! beat. You know, the one where Jay-Dee flips the quirky keyboard sample?

It was some of the most psychadelic spacey jazz, I'd ever heard. So I called in and asked who the composer was.

KCRW.

Yeah, um, dig the selection. Can you, uh, tell me, uh, who, uh, like that a composer was on that last song you played, like, you know?

Galt MacDermot. Check out his catalog on Stones Throw.

Thanks man.

Sometimes I wish I had an audioblog.

Just to get you all in check.
